The 4TB My Passport Pro Portable RAID Storage Drive from Western Digital is a bus powered portable storage drive complete with an attached Thunderbolt cable. With plug and play functionality all you need to do is plug in the drive and it's good to go. Once plugged in you can begin taking advantage of typical data transfer rates of 230 MB/s and maximum data transfer rates of up to 10 Gb/s.

Along with enhanced data transfer rates, this My Passport drive features two separate drives within the anodized aluminum enclosure. These dual drives can be configured into RAID 0 for enhanced drive performance, or RAID 1 to ensure the data stored on one drive is backed up on the other.

Transfer, Back Up, Edit in Record Time: The My Passport Pro delivers both speed and portability with transfer rates as high as 230 MB/s allowing you to transfer, edit, compile and stream graphics-intensive files quickly.

No Power Adapter, No Extra Cables Required: Powered directly through the Thunderbolt port on your MacBook, My Passport Pro frees up space in your field kit by eliminating the need for an AC adapter. And with the integrated cable that is tethered to the drive, you'll never lose your Thunderbolt cable on location.

Durability for Your Workflow: The dual drives in My Passport Pro are housed within an anodized all-aluminum enclosure.

Works with Apple Time Machine: Once you've captured your images, you can transfer them and other files quickly with Apple Time Machine.

Keep Creativity Moving: Shipped in RAID 0 for maximum speed and capacity, My Passport Pro helps you edit and compile work quickly and efficiently.

Protect Data with RAID 1: Protect your work with RAID 1 mirror mode for double safe data protection. In this mode, the capacity is divided in half so that one half stores your data and the other half maintains a duplicate copy.

Fast Boot Drive: Store your system files on this drive and use it as a fast boot drive.

Plug-and-Play Setup: My Passport Pro is preformatted HFS+J, so it's ready to use with your Mac straight out of the box.

Ready When You Are: WD Diagnostics performs a S.M.A.R.T. status check on your drive in seconds so you know it's ready to go.
